Welcome to the New Style of Motivation Learning in today’s modern world can be a highly dynamic experience with the enormous amount of resources, technology, and access that are available to students. Nevertheless, why are students still finding it challenging to study, and why aren’t American students achieving higher in critical disciplines such as Science and Mathematics? Students need to understand WHY an education is extremely valuable in today’s globalized climate, and this need for understanding must be delivered to the students in a fun, interactive, and educational environment. For the past six years, I have been working with students in the disciplines of Science and Music at a North Hollywood Middle School within the Los Angeles Unified School District. By successfully fusing the two disciplines into a cohesive and motivating assembly, I have gone beyond the simple act of teaching. My goal within the educational community is to not only educate students, but rather inspire, motivate, and enlighten youthful minds to the idea that any type of obstacle can be overcome when approached with determination, confidence, and the ability to focus. This highly engaging show will describe to the audience how academic success may be achieved in four basic steps. These steps are communicated through the mediums of music, choreography, and the analogies of scientific demonstration. There is plenty of evidence that suggests “edu-tainment” can be a highly successful tool in reaching the core of student motivation, and students today need all the help they can get as they are constantly bombarded with a myriad of distractions. It is up to the modern and relevant teacher who is responsible for keeping the students engaged through innovative, new teaching styles, and I will do just this through Rocker Science. rocker science
